Glendalough

Glendalough
The Valley of the two lakes. This is the valley in County Wicklow where Kevin went as a young boy and then later as a priest. Here he founded his monastery. My book, Saint Kevin of Glendalough, has a detailed tour of the valley at the end of the book.
Kilnamanagh
This is the monastery south of modern-day Dublin where Kevin went as a boy, and then returned to after going to Glendalough. He was probably ordained a priest here. Today there are no remains of the monastery. There is a parish dedicated to Saint Kevin, and a well-hidden holy well dedicated to him as well. Where the monastery was there are now houses and a park.

Eglys Cwyfan, Wales
Cwyfan is the Welsh name for Saint Kevin, and this fabulous church dedicated to him sits on a tidal island connected to the mainland by a causeway. It’s kind of like a small Mont San Michel. It sits off the coast of Anglesey Island in Northern Wales.

Site under construction: I’ll be adding more locations soon!
